2FA - Two-factor authentication for your mailbox Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your mailbox by requiring a time-sensitive verification code in addition to your password during sign-in. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access, even in the event that your password is compromised. Before enabling MFA, make sure you have the following:  Access to your PolarisMail account. A mobile device. An authenticator app, such as Authy   or   Google Authenticator . 1. Enable 2FA To enable 2FA for your mailbox:  Log in to the User Panel. From the menu, open the MFA tab. Set the Status field to Enabled , then click Save . Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the setup process.                           Use your authenticator app to scan the QR code that appears.  Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app, then click Save .   2. Sign in with 2FA After 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a verification code when signing in. Go to the PolarisMail login page. Enter your email address and password. Open your authenticator app when prompted. Enter the current verification code. Complete the sign-in process.   3. Disable 2FA To disable 2FA for your mailbox: Log in to the User Panel . Open the MFA section. Set the Status field to Disable , then click Save . Enter a valid 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm the change. Click Save .
