2FA - Two-factor authentication for your mailbox
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your mailbox by requiring a time-sensitive verification code in addition to your password during sign-in. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access, even in the event that your password is compromised.
Before enabling MFA, make sure you have the following:

Access to your PolarisMail account.
- A mobile device.
- An authenticator app, such as Authy or Google Authenticator.

1. Enable 2FA
To enable 2FA for your mailbox:

Log in to the User Panel.

From the menu, open the MFA tab.

Set the Status field to Enabled, then click Save.

Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the setup process.

Use your authenticator app to scan the QR code that appears.

Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app, then click Save.
2. Sign in with 2FA
After 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a verification code when signing in.

Go to the PolarisMail login page.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Open your authenticator app when prompted.
- Enter the current verification code.
- Complete the sign-in process.
3. Disable 2FA
To disable 2FA for your mailbox:

Log in to the User Panel.

Open the MFA section.

Set the Status field to Disable, then click Save.

Enter a valid 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm the change.

Click Save.
